The BEST Mushroom Pizza

This is the best pizza I make and it is vegetarian to boot! B loves it and it is super easy to make so it is a great weeknight dinner, only if you have frozen pizza dough on hand. I never claim to be a great baker so I leave the recipes to more abled cooks. I hope you enjoy this pizza with a salad soon!

Mushroom Pizza
Serves 4

1 portion Perfect Pizza Crust
8 oz Grated Mozzarella Cheese
4 Tablespoons Pizza Sauce
8 oz Button Mushrooms
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
Salt and Pepper

  1. Preheat the oven to 500
  2. Take the dough out of the fridge to relax while you prep the topping
  3. Clean the mushrooms and chop into chunks, for a small mushroom, quarter. You want them to be good little chunks
  4. Preheat the olive oil in a saute pan on medium high heat. Add the mushrooms and season with salt and pepper. You will want to get the mushrooms lightly browned while stirring periodically. Add the garlic and cook for just a minute and add the Balsamic. Cook the mushrooms until dark brown and set aside.
  5. Now assemble the pizza, cornmeal on your baking sheet or stone and shape your pizza to a circle or whatever shape you desire. Spread the pizza sauce evenly on the crust, leaving a border. Sprinkle the cheese all over and top with the mushroom mixture. Brush the crust with olive oil and pop into the oven.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, when the crust is golden brown. Let sit for a couple minutes before slicing to have the cheese settle. Enjoy!
