Brain Dump
Heeeeellllloooooo everybody! I am thinking a stream of thought post is due so here you go! I am sure all you imaginary people are super interested in what is fumbling around my head but it is for me too you know! IT'S ALL ABOUT ME DAMN-IT! Plus dump seems like the appropriate word, it really is the poop coming from my consciousness at the moment...
- I have just been super frustrated yesterday and today, you know when you wake up and you just know things are going to be difficult and they end up being that way?! I hate that and I even cried this morning. The straw that broke my tear ducts was the fresh doggie poo I found all over the wheels of my stroller and it had even sprayed over the side (I guess I should have had a no eating disclaimer before that...whoops) and that was after Ainsley knocked over two of her puff containers and puffs went every which way on my kitchen floor...I am hoping things get better and this is not meant for you to feel bad for me, just therapeutic to lay it out like puffs on the floor.
- I watched MasterChef Junior and man, I am culinarily intimidated by those littles! They were making their own pasta, tortillas, whipping up macarons, and all in less than 60 minutes. I need to step up my game...
- I am proud to say that I have lost just under 10 pounds since starting to work out and be aware of what is going into my body. It would have been more but I gained 2 pounds when I was sick for a week. I hate how that always seems to happen, getting sick once I start working out, but I kept going. So my work-it deal is a 25 minute walk every morning in the humid heat of Texas, sweaty work that is. Then once Ainsley goes down for her morning nap, I work-it hard for 30 minutes. I will do a work-it post with everything I do with pictures I can scam off Pinterest. That is actually where I came up with my workout routine, love that site!
- I have made changes to my cooking as well, trying to make everything lighter and smaller portion size. It is really hard at dinner because I just want to eat and eat! All I think about is a good burger, fries, and a huge slice of cake. MOUTH WATERING!!!
- We had a challenge for September to not eat anything out and let me tell you, that is super hard. I didn't even realize how much I need those breaks even if it is a coffee. NOT TO MENTION, we started it when the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte is released!?!?!?!? Thank God that is over and I am trying to convince B to head there after dinner and snag a couple non-fat talls for us to enjoy. We are also having our first cheat meal next Monday, SUPER EXCITED! Ainsley and I are going to head to B's work, show my little Peanut off to his co-workers and then go out to lunch at the Hubcap Grill - B is super excited to try their Sticky Burger which has crunchy peanut butter. SAY WHAT?!
- Now that Ainsley is toddling around, gripping tightly to every table, step, and item, it is like, BUTTON DOWN THE HATCHES! It is crazy how fast she gets around now, I get another workout just chasing her saying, "No, No Ainsley!" We had to buy some baby gates and holy expensive! I have to return one because our doorway to the kitchen is way too large for any gate we found under $100. Makes me think about just baby proofing things we need to keep out of the way...
- I checked out this local kiddo clothing store here in town and I fell in love with everything there, too bad it was more expensive than my clothes! I mean, who really pays $70 for a dress for your baby?! Granted, I wish we won the lottery so we could get every stinking outfit there... The store has a dedicated bow maker that comes in once a week and makes bows that exactly match outfits. It is insane! I was telling B that I wish I could learn from this lady and also charge $17 for a bow, that will bring in some moolah! Sigh!
- This new house is so much bigger that our decorations just don't seem like enough, especially for outside, I need cheapo ideas to make our house Halloween wonderful. I want to get a bunch of ideas together and then snag stuff on super clearance after the 31st to use for next year. I am looking forward to Christmas to see what we need in that department because, let's face it, Christmas is the best.
- We are super sad that we will be missing our awesome friend's Crazy Spaghetti Night this year. (*Tear* Heather) I know we did it last year for the first time but it was so awesome that we want to do it every year. Now we just have to get some friends here to do it with us!
- I made these amazing Pumpkin and Sausage Stuffed Shells this weekend and I really want to share the recipe but every picture I had looked kinda gross. So sad! It was really amazing and healthy to boot! The recipe made so many that I gave some to neighbors that we met a couple of weeks ago. I know this sounds stupid but I am a little sad they have not come by to let me know what they thought of the food...
