The Eve of Christmas

Christmas Eve has always been a big deal in my family, we traditionally would celebrate on the Eve at some unGodly hour after feasting, we are very Latin. When I got hitched to B, I knew my Holidays would be a little different and I think we have a good system now. We have fancy dinner both Christmas Eve and Day and we get to open one present on the Eve. This year was a little lackluster because I was a little off with my family far away, but we made it the best we could. Here are some pictures of our evening and the run down of Eve dinner.

Susie brought over the MOST frustrating puzzle of all time - never again!
The table all set for FOOD!
I did a grilled flank steak with blue cheese on top served with roasted butternut squash and wilted spicy spinach. Yum
Dessert was a chocolate gingerbread cake topped with some Stranahan's Whiskey Brickle Ice Cream - suggested by the lovely Jenn!
I think the old folks are getting sleepy
B was very excited about his Eve gift!
Baron enjoyed hissing at Grandma Susie and strutting around like he owned the place and started his sleep early for Santa's arrival!
