After-Christmas Bonanza
The day after Christmas is still running high with holiday cheer and amazing deals - and score we did! Then a couple days later, we dismantled all that was good and holiday in and outside of our home. Holy cow, that was a ton of work, 4 hours to take everything down. And let me tell you, de-Christmasing the house is a time for people to get a little snippy. I am 100% at fault for that... Anywho! We made out like bandits at the sales and the house feels so much bigger and bright all cleaned up. You will also see how I organize my Christmas chaos and you will be sure to think I need to institutionalized with severe OCD. Hold your straight-jackets though, it totally works and really takes the stress out of packing and trying to get everything to fit...

I always hit up Aaron Brothers during their Penny Sale - I got 10 frames for $48!
This beautiful bag was purchased at Vera Bradley using the gift card my lovely in-laws gifted me - They were having a 40% off sale at the store so I ended up only paying less than $10 for a bag that normally costs $92! Go SALES!
Our Floor Sample love affair is still going strong when we snagged this beautiful chair and the below table for an absolute steal. This chair is normally $1,000 (so many zeros...) and we got it for just over $300! As you can already see, Baron gives his stamp of approval, I think the chair eases the sting of losing his precious Christmas tree...
This table fits so much better in our family room too, plus it has drawers to hide more of our junk! Yay for 2 junk drawers!
Project Dismantle Christmas
This is the scary reality of all our Christmas stuff coming together in a holiday hurricane... Keepin' it Real up in this blog
This Nutty Soldier lost a limb in the battle of Keeping Christmas Alive. He was a brave soul
And heeeeeres my OCD! We have two huge bins for Christmas storage in addition to large boxes, wreaths, and garland all stored in the basement. Last year, I got so fed up with trying to figure out how to pack, I made these handy checklists. Contained in each bin is a ton of smaller boxes and are also labeled and organized. It does make it a little easier!

Here is a closer look of B's new (old) Cuckoo Clock. It is so pretty! I hung it on the wall of our "bridge" and re-worked the two pieces that were there before, it looks so nice and balanced. It is our European bridge, a little bit of England, German, and France! I knew there was a reason I studied those languages.
Updated Entry table - the wreath stays because it is winter-y. I will get started on that console table soon!
Close up of our pictures - the center one is of B, my parents, and me. Good memories!
The clean and neat sitting room - pre-new chair
Ahhh - so nice
