Party Time!
B and I were lucky enough to host his fund's Christmas party this year so as you can expect, we had a total ball! Here are some pictures of the spread, hope you enjoy!
I tried to make it pretty simple so I wasn't a stress ball!
We finally had the occasion to use our auction find for some Christmas Punch!
Everything fit perfectly on the island!
I tried to make it pretty simple so I wasn't a stress ball!
- Christmas Punch - Ginger Beer, Apple Cider, and Cranberry Juice with orange slices and floating cranberries.
- Cheese and Crackers - Tip - Cheese tray from Costco was by far the best deal, we are still eating cheese from this! I also got 4 different types of crackers to give options, just presented them in a nice bowl
- Deviled Eggs - The easiest thing to make because everyone loves it - I alternated with chives and Sriracha on top for a little spice
- Roasted Chicken Skewers with Spicy Peanut Sauce - Just took chicken tenders and added: Salt, Pepper, Cayenne, and Tumeric. Slid them on skewers and broiled them until done! The Peanut Sauce was a total inadvertent shortcut, found an Archer Farms brand sauce in the pantry and decided to not press my luck with making my own. It was fabulous!
- Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus - Super simple, cut Prosciutto in half, wrapped around asparagus spear and baked at 400 for 10 minutes - BAM!
- Brie, Apple, and Onion Flatbread - used my pizza dough and stretched it thin - added sliced Brie over the whole top and grilled onions, just sliced the apples so they were still crunchy. Bake at 500 for 15 minutes and done!
- Indian Turkey Sliders with a Hawaiian roll and topped with Arugula - tasty and simple
- Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting - the cupcakes were from a box because in my experience, red velvet is a tricky cake so leave it to Mr. Hines! The Cream Cheese Frosting is super easy and it is totally homemade - Beat Cream Cheese with Powdered Sugar and Vanilla Extract, and done. I do not have a pastry bag so I do it old school with a ziploc with the end snipped off. Throw some sprinkles on and we have party-worthy treats
