Summer List Update

So here we are into August already and I am sure you are on pins and needles seeing where we are at on our Summer List. Before we get into the nitty gritty, remind yourself of my husband's eloquent post of our view of the Summer. Denver metro almost broke a record for most consecutive days over 90 and I know the rest of the country is absolutely melting at a quicker pace, but it still sucks! Needless to say we are not going to accomplish all of these goals and some of them will be moved to our Autumn List - of course we have already started that! That will be posted as soon as the fall has begun, i.e. September 1st when Autumn should start - all I can say is that the word pumpkin is in there so many times you could get snot-faced by doing a drinking game! Onward with the Summer List!

1. Antiquing in Idaho Springs - it totally blew chunks because there were barely any shops and then we had the worst pizza ever at the "famous" Colorado chain restaurant...
2. Baseball Game - ish - B went to a game with his company
3. Big Jim's Ribs - Very tasty but soo expensive - $34 for some sausage and shredded pork...
4. Bishop's Castle - We passed the exit and we look at each other and said, "meh?!" and kept driving
5. Botanic Gardens -Pretty sure we are going to do this before our anniversary dinner, LOVE IT!
6. Bowling - When did bowling get so expensive? We definitely had fun though and we are thinking of buying some shoes and a ball cause those are nasty, eww
7. Breckenridge -Probably not happening but will definitely happen in the Fall like always
8. Brunch at the Broadmoor  IKEA-Compromise time! we want to save a little more money and we are taking my birthday off and IKEA just opened (crazy town over there) and we are having free breakfast instead. Broadmoor for shizz next year though!
9. Celestial Seasonings Tour -Not likely to happen this summer but I am thinking for the winter that would be amazing because who does not want a warm cup of tea on a chilly billy day?
10. Celtic Pub -I am sure we will do it some time...
11. Cinnamon Rolls -Battle de Cinna Roll will be rescheduled to the Fall when you want to actually take a bite of something warm in the morning instead of sweat it out..
12. Colorado State Fair -Pueblo is far yo! We are doing the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo this weekend which I am super stoked about.
13. Complete Photo Albums -hmm, maybe I should work on that this weekend
14. Demolition Derby -I have not seen any locally but I am not really looking very hard either
15. Driving Range - We came, we sweat, we ached, we conquered
16. Fancy Anniversary Dinner - Booked at Mizuna can we just take a moment to drool? Thank you
17. Finish Painting -yeah, too hot...
18. Hike Seven Falls -again with the heat, damn you summer and your burning ways!
19. Host a big BBQ -DONE and I think with great success, I have to get those pictures loaded soon.
20. Lord of the Rings Marathon - Epic, per usual
21. Make a Texas Chili -On the meal plan in a couple of weeks!
22. Pick Fruits / Veggies  at a Local Farm -not happening, my loving B is already burned to a crisp, we do not need any repeats
23. Picnic -We are kinda doing this when we visit some awesome family soon - Campbell's here we come!
24. Read 5 Books -B is giving me 3 because I got a heck of a deal on some new cookbooks, my weakness - I will definitely reach this!
25. Renaissance Fair -yeah, not happening after we saw the ticket prices, kinda sad but maybe next year
26. Santa Fe -Y'all already saw that beaut
27. See Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II - Um, do I even need to say that we did?! I also think it might be the best movie yet!
28. Shooting Range -Man, we need to do this!
29. Smash Ball -Totally bought one and B broke it trying to kill the wasps hanging around our digs
30. S'mores -We were going to do it at the BBQ but there was so much food we ended up revising our plans to do it when it gets a little cooler out, I see a theme...
31. Try 25 new recipes -I stopped counting when I was up to 17 in June...
32. Walk to FroYo -Love that place and we are almost to a free yogurt...
33. Water Balloon Tournament - Didn't quite make it there, we bought the balloons, does that count?
34. Wild Animal Sanctuary -NO! I am super sad about that, I don't know when we will be able to go
